Research Logs
This folder captures the external sources we mined for the KB. Each entry outlines what we learned, why it mattered, and which related topics emerged from the same thread.
All articles follow the production format: Status, Last Updated, Category, Prerequisites, Tags, Summary, Context, Implementation, Examples, Pitfalls, Next Steps, Sources & Related, Change Log.

.envlayering, CLI commands, Forgejo Action integration. - gitops.md — Drift detection, policy enforcement, telemetry, progressive rollback.
- prisma.md — Connection pooling, Data Proxy, migration secrets pipeline.
- sysadmin.md — Logging, incident response, patch automation, zero-trust service accounts.
- tanstack.md — Query caching, Router loaders/actions, Table patterns, Devtools.

Update Rules
- Use the KB layout and include
Sources & Relatedso future agents can trace references. - When a new topic keeps appearing in searches (e.g., MCP, semantic telemetry, DevSecOps guardrails), create a subentry or expand an existing one to capture that nuance.
- Verify relative links before committing; broken links are treated like broken builds.
Session Log
2026-08-26 — Task 7 Complete — Expanded Research (6 stubs + synthesis audit)
- Expanded: ai-server-management.md, dotenvx.md, gitops.md, prisma.md, sysadmin.md, tanstack.md (all expanded from ~2KB logs to production-quality articles using the article format).
- Verified: synthesis-tools-comparison.md (already production-quality at 10KB) retained; Sources augmented with 2026-08-26 web-search findings (NotebookLM vs Obsidian vs Atlas, agentic KB synthesis patterns).
- Updated: kb/research/README.md to list all articles with descriptions and link to expanded files.
- Web synthesis used: comparison of synthesis tool families (NotebookLM-style, Obsidian, plain-markdown KB, RAG over own notes) for synthesis-tools-comparison.md.
